Description |
The piece attempts to describe musically a day in the life of a cat. The parts are named after different parts of the cat, so 'Cat's Meow' is the top part (e.g. violin 1), 'Cat's Purr' is the 2nd part, e.g. violin 2, and so on. 'Cat Suite' was performed in London as part of the London Chamber Group's 'Piece of the Year' Competition (2003), and by the Northwood String Orchestra, which is based in Southampton. |
